This site is a map-based guide to a town in Thailand called Trat. In the life category you’ll find information that isn’t place-related: stories, events, tips, etc.
Why Trat? Ask anyone from Trat and they’ll tell you it’s the best place in Thailand (and therefore – the world). This local-patriotism is not unique to Trat, but in this town’s case – it’s quite justified (after all, we’re from Trat too
).

Just saw a trackback on Joy’s Pizza page from Captain Slash – a biker who document his rides.
Indeed, the captain’s post has several nice photos of Joy’s Pizza, but he also took some shots from the school year’s end festival

All in all, this makes us feel a bit shameful, since we have some photos and even video from that festival.
We promise to do a post about it soon, and are thankful that there are also others who tell the world about our city

OTOP logo
The One Tambon One Product (OTOP) initiative lets each of the 36,000 Tambons (subdistricts) in Thailand select one product that will represent them, and be sold in the various OTOP outlets around the country.
Another way to promote these products is by organizing fairs that go around Thailand introducing to people what other villages are best known for. All in all, these fairs are a lot of fun – and there are lots of very good things at cheap prices. Usually, if you buy something to eat, the sellers also make you taste something else for free – just because they’re so proud of it.

If you had to carry in your personal purse a cure for cold, nausea, dizziness, sore muscles, arthritis, and insect bites, you’d need a huge purse. If only all those medicines could fit into a small bottle, you could look only half a hypochondriac. That’s what Yellow oil is for. It is a traditional Thai medicine, that can sometimes save you a doctor’s visit, and certainly a lot of pain.
